New illustration for the Loud Cloud’s Mixtures App. The app is free and you can look at kick ass art while learning how to mix different cocktails. I illustrated the Salty Dog which is gin, grapefruit juice and salt. No nonsense, like this guy.

I drew this Food Color Wheel for the Vegetarian Times a while ago. It was out in the March issue? I need to get it together but I’m battling deadlines and a potential Dragon Age addiction.

Oh Comely interviewed me for their 3rd (awesome) issue. This feels a bit egocentric but here we are. A little more info on my blog.

Aquatic Illustration for the February issue of Family Circle.
This has been a barely there month. Not one iota of presence.
This wouldn’t be a true post if I didn’t bore you to tears with a comment on the weather or what food I’m currently into. So here goes: Too cold and almond milk.

Books as hors d’oeuvres for this week’s Chicago Reader cover. It was a somewhat tight deadline. I got the go ahead at 10:30 on a Friday night but the assignment turned out to be a lot of fun to work on. I learned a couple of things from my AD about illustrating for newsprint: brighter colors are better as the colors tend to dull out during the printing process. I also tried to keep the pastels/whites to a minimum as the text in the back will have a tendency to bleed through with those tones.
